covid 19 protocal and salon policies

Due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic our salon premises, appointments and all services have been adjusted to fully comply with the Durham Region Health Department Regulations Along with the Ontario College of Trades Regulations.

Before you arrive for your appointment we ask that you follow these guide lines in order to keep yourself, our staff and other clients SAFE.

The Staff here at Alterna Hair & Holistic Beauty Thank You for all your help during these difficult times. 

Salon Safety!

  • Our Salon is well stocked with disinfectants, sanitizers and cleaning supplies

  • We require clients and stylists to wash their hands or sanitize before beginning and services

  • We are following a rigorous cleaning schedule to ensure all stations, high touch surfaces, towels, capes, and products are disinfected on a regular basis.

  • employees who show flu-like symptoms will be required to stay home until they are symptom free

Cancellation Policy!

  • Due to the number of No shows for appointments without a phone call we will be Adding a $20 charge to clients missed appointments that are no-shows.

  • we are try to be very understanding here at Alterna and understand that life happens and things may come up and you cannot make it that day or at that time. all we ask is that you give us a call at least 24 hours before your appointment as we do have a waiting list and we can fill your appointment time  with notice however if something urgent has come up please call before we open at 9am.
